Flash. Boot. Done.
A premium OS image that turns your uConsole into a daily driver — in 15 minutes, not 15 hours.
$ uconsole-toolkit --status │ WiFi ■ patched & optimized │ Battery ■ 40% longer runtime │ Desktop ■ i3 tuned for 5" │ Keyboard ■ QMK ready │ Packages ■ 30+ curated tools │ → Ready. Flash to microSD and boot.
Your uConsole arrived.
Now the real work begins.
You unbox your uConsole, flash the stock image, and immediately hit a wall. WiFi drops when you face away from your router. Battery drains in 2 hours. The desktop is unusable on a 5-inch screen. And the official docs? Outdated.
So you start forum-diving. Five tabs become twenty. A “quick fix” breaks something else. Hours later, you're still patching configs instead of using your machine.
We've done this work so you don't have to.
Everything you need, nothing you don't▊
One .img file. Flash it to a microSD card, insert, and boot. Your uConsole becomes a daily driver in under 15 minutes.

Frequently asked.
Which compute modules does this support?+
The Toolkit image supports both CM4 and CM5 modules. We provide separate image variants optimized for each module's capabilities. CM4 images include safe overclocking to 2 GHz, while CM5 images are tuned for its higher baseline performance with appropriate thermal management.
When will I receive the toolkit?+
We're in the final stages of testing and polish. Pre-order customers will receive their download link via email the moment we launch. You'll get the .img.gz file plus a PDF quick-start guide. We'll keep you updated on progress.
How do I flash the image to my uConsole?+
Once you receive your download, use Balena Etcher (or dd if you prefer) to flash the .img.gz to a microSD card (16GB minimum, 32GB+ recommended). Insert the card into your uConsole and power on. The included PDF guide walks through every step with screenshots.
What's included in the 30+ curated packages?+
Developer tools (git, vim, neovim, tmux, htop), network utilities (nmap, curl, wget, mtr), file managers (ranger, lf), system monitors, Bluetooth managers, and more. Everything is pre-configured for the uConsole's screen size and resource constraints. Full package list in the documentation.
Can I still install my own software on top?+
Absolutely. This is a standard Debian Bookworm image — you have full root access and can apt install anything. The Toolkit is a starting point, not a locked-down system. We add the optimizations and configurations that take hours to set up manually.
What if the free community images work for me?+
If you're happy with a community image, more power to you. The Toolkit is for people who want a polished, tested, all-in-one solution without spending hours combining fixes from different forum threads. We do the integration work, testing, and documentation so you don't have to.
Do I get updates?+
Yes. Your purchase includes access to updated images as we release them. When new kernel versions ship or we add features based on community feedback, you'll get a download link for the updated image.
What's your refund policy?+
If the Toolkit doesn't work on your uConsole hardware, contact us and we'll make it right. We want every uConsole owner to have a great experience.
